A Cinderella Story: The Birth of EZ Transfer
Last year, I had the opportunity to travel overseas to the Spencer Italia plant. We had been invited to create a marketing video for them, something that felt like a natural extension of the work we were already doing in funeral service and multimedia. I went expecting to produce a solid piece of content. What I didn’t expect was to be inspired in a way that would eventually lead to the creation of a new company.
Walking through Spencer’s facility, I was struck immediately by the precision, craftsmanship, and pride that went into every product they made. These weren’t just mortuary tools—they were purpose-built, engineered with excellence, and designed for the realities that funeral professionals face every single day. You could see and feel the difference. The quality was undeniable.
As I toured the plant, it became clear to me that this was something we needed in America. Funeral directors in the U.S. deserve the same level of safety, reliability, and durability that Spencer has been providing to professionals around the world for decades. It was a lightbulb moment. What began as a simple video project turned into something much bigger.
After working with Spencer on their marketing, we were approached with an unexpected invitation: to become their distributor here in the United States. It was one of those Cinderella moments you don’t see coming. One day, you’re holding a camera and filming product demonstrations. The next, you’re laying the foundation for a company that will bring world-class mortuary equipment to funeral professionals across the country.
That’s how EZ Transfer was born.
At EZ Transfer, our mission is simple but powerful: to deliver the quality and craftsmanship of Spencer Italia to American funeral service professionals. We’re not just selling equipment—we’re providing tools that reflect the dignity of the work, protect the people doing it, and stand up to the demands of everyday use.
Looking back, it still amazes me how one trip to Italy reshaped my vision of what was possible. What started as a video assignment turned into an opportunity to solve a problem I didn’t even realize needed solving until I saw it with my own eyes.
This industry is built on trust, relationships, and the ability to meet families’ needs with care and professionalism. Having the right tools matters. With EZ Transfer, we’re proud to be the bridge that brings world-class equipment from Italy to the U.S.—and proud that this story started in such an unexpected way.
